~Sake Rice Harvesting Experience~
A Bountiful Autumn, Sharing Gratitude and Prayers
The Japanese sake “Shinto no Inori” was born as a “sake offered in prayer to the gods” in gratitude for nature’s blessings. It is a 100% local sake brewed by Kogakkan University in Ise City and Matsukou Nosan using “Kami no Ho” sake rice grown in Meiwa Town, the birthplace of Kakechikara, and brewed with underground water from the Kushida and Isuzu Rivers by the local breweries Asahi Shuzo and Iseman.
In this event, you will experience harvesting the sake rice planted in spring, along with a traditional Shinto ritual to give thanks for the harvest. After harvesting, we will have “No-agari” (a harvest feast) where everyone can enjoy freshly harvested Koshihikari rice and pork bowls.
Furthermore, there will be fun activities to make children smile, such as the powerful “combine harvester ride experience” and shaved ice. Harvesting with a sickle in the golden rice fields will surely be an unforgettable memory. Families with children are highly welcome!
Please enjoy a special day touching the ancient culture of “rice making” and the fruitful autumn in the rural landscape of Meiwa Town, which is deeply connected to Ise Jingu.

10:00 – 10:30 Nukiho-sai (Shinto ritual observation) *Gagaku/Dance will not be performed. 10:40 – 12:00 Rice harvesting experience, Combine ride *1 12:00 – 13:00 No-agari (Freshly harvested Koshihikari rice, pork bowl, shaved ice, etc.) *Contents and schedule are subject to change depending on conditions. *1 Combine ride experience may be canceled due to safety management, time, or weather. Since the area to be harvested by the combine is limited, children will be given priority. (*Please note that you may not be able to ride if the rice had to be harvested in advance due to growth conditions.) |

Clothes & shoes you don’t mind getting dirty (long sleeves, long pants, and rubber boots are recommended as rice leaves can cause itchiness), work gloves, hat, towel, change of clothes, drinks, rain gear (in case of rain). *A simple changing room will be set up. |

- Minors & Safety Management
Those under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Blades (sickles) will be used during the harvest. To prevent injuries, guardians must keep a close eye on their children at all times during the experience. Accident insurance is provided, but safety management is the responsibility of the guardian. - Handling of Photos and Videos
Staff will take photos and videos on the day, which may be posted on social media, etc. We will also present photos to participants in a “Shared Album” format. Furthermore, TV crews may be present. If you do not wish to be photographed or have your photos published, we ask that you refrain from participating. Your application constitutes consent. - Food Allergies
We do not offer individual allergy-friendly meals during the food serving. To prevent accidental serving, please indicate whether you have any allergies and their details when applying.
Cancellation Policy & Notes
- The event will be held rain or shine. (In case of rain, the Shinto ritual will be held in a greenhouse, and only those who wish will experience harvesting wearing raincoats). The participation fee will not change in case of rain.
- If the event cannot be held due to severe weather or other force majeure, we will contact you by email around 18:00 the day before. *If canceled, it will not be postponed.
- If canceled by the organizer, a full refund will be issued. However, for those who paid by bank transfer, the refund will be the amount after deducting the transfer fee.
- The completed new sake will be delivered around early April 2027.
- Participation fees may change for future events.
