Saiku Historical Museum Tour with an English-speaking guide (November 3rd and 5th, 2022)
Saiku Historical Museum is hosting a museum tour with an English-speaking guide on November 3rd and 5th, 2022, while they have a special exhibition on NARIHIRA, an aristocrat and one of the Thirty-six Immortal Poets of the early Heian era (9th century) and a digital art exhibition from 5 pm.
Now a peaceful town with tranquility and the smiles of locals, SAIKU was once a thriving city centering around SAIO, an unmarried princess sent from the imperial court to dedicate her days to praying to the deity of Ise Jingu. In this event, a professional English-speaking tour guide will navigate you to the Historical Museum to discover the profound history of the area.
There will be two tours on November 3rd and 5th, limited to 10 participants each session. The tour will mainly be inside the museum, but we may be walking about a mile depending on the weather and the number of participants. (Please note that as there will be no digital exhibition during daytime, the morning session on November 3rd will include a mini-walking tour after visiting the museum.)
